IASBO/IAPSS HEA 1009 WORKSHOPS REGISTRATION

The Indiana Association of School Business Officials and the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents will be sponsoring a series of workshops in March and April regarding the implementation of HEA 1009 (2017). The workshops will be held in the ten IASBO regions. There is no registration fee for the workshops, but the associations need to know those who are attending to assure adequate seating space and meal counts. The workshops will begin at 9:00 a.m. (EDT) and should conclude by 3:00 p.m. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at each workshop.  Click here to download the registration form.

HEA 1009 is a very significant change in fund accounting for Indiana’s public schools. The State Board of Accounts and Department of Local Government Finance will be providing presentations at the workshops regarding the new chart of accounts and the new budget forms. Further, there will be presentations by your peers regarding the implementation of the new law from a practical viewpoint. The full agenda will be finalized in the next few days.

IASBO and IAPSS want to recognize Ice Miller, Umbaugh, Horace Mann and Lancer & Beebe Architecture for being the primary sponsors for the workshops. Their efforts on behalf of the associations are greatly appreciated.

March 21 -Chateau Banquet Center, Merrillville
