IASBO Treasurer's Workshops

Indiana ASBO will be sponsoring the four-day Treasurer’s Workshops once again beginning in early March. An expert staff has been assembled by the IASBO Accounting and Budgeting Research Committee to provide a wealth of information for school corporation treasurers and deputy treasurers. These sessions are terrific for new treasurers, but also provide a good time for veterans to hone their skills. The details for each day including the agendas and registration form for the 4-day sessions can be found on the IASBO website.

The workshops will cover the following business office topics:

*Treasurer’s Roles & Responsibilities
*Accounting Practices – Funds/Revenues/Expenditures
*Purchasing – Bids vs. Quotes; Public Work Laws; Purchasing Tips
*Accounts Payable – Claim Cycle; W-9’s; 1099’s; Record Retention; Purchase Orders
*Grant Management
*Cash Management
*Financial Monitoring
*Department of Education – Educational Information Systems; School Finance Reporting; Special Education Grants
*Budget Development

These sessions will be held at the MSD of Warren Township Education & Community Center (975 North Post Road, Indianapolis 46219) on the following dates:

March 6-7, 2018
April 16-17, 2018

Please register as soon as possible since the participation in the workshop sessions is LIMITED.

If you have not yet done so, please renew your IASBO membership for 2018. You will not be able to register for events at the member rate unless your membership is current. Please follow the steps below to renew:

Sign In either at the top menu bar or through the “Sign In” in the middle of the IASBO

If you don’t have a password or have forgotten it, reset to have a link sent to your email.

If this is your first time signing in, you will be asked to select preferences.

If you are not prompted to Renew Your Membership from the next screen, select “Manage Profile” fromthe top menu bar.

Click the “Renew Your Membership Now” ribbon.

The pop-up message displays telling you to update your information.

IMPORTANT: Verify and complete your profile information in the required fields (marked by an *).

NOTE: The salary is a required field because your membership fee is calculated based on your annualsalary. Do not use dollar sign, comma, or decimals when entering your salary.
Save Changes when finished and the next page will take you to the membership renewal process.

Payment Options
You may pay by credit card/procurement card, or bill to individual or district.
Bill Me – if you are personally paying for the membership fee
Bill to Master – if the district is paying for your membership.
Purchase order number is optional
